If you have over 500 posts, you are eligible for a custom title. Post your desired title here. An admin will delete your post once your title has been added.

I wanted to know if it is acceptable to have the same title as someone else? Perhaps with the approval of the first person with the title?

I suppose, if the original person holding the title is okay with it. I can't see why you would want to do that instead of having your own original title though.

I think it's stupid to have to put your requested title changes here. A simple PM to an ACTIVE admin should suffice in my opinion.

Actually... one GOOD thing about this - and maybe why they did it (??) is that I've gotten 2-3 requests for custom titles in the past few weeks.

But *sigh* I haven't got the power...

This way whichever admin checks the forum first can add the title. Previously, to get the quickest possible response, users had to PM all the admins, which wastes everyone's time. Also, moderators won't be sent requests.

This seems to be closest possible thread to ask this. My username is a bad fit. Has been so for some time. I haven't asked this question here until now because I have been stewing as to what name would be the most appropriate. Due to the nature of this board. I don't think that just a name would be that good. So could I have my username switched to Huorn? If you can't do it, then I understand.

You can request a personal title after you've reached 500 posts. And yes, you can basically change it indefinitely. All within reason, of course, since you have to ask an admin to change the title for you, members can't do that themselves.
